Three Relationship Building Strategies For Successful Marketing

By Simone D. Thomas

Marketing is a natural part of our everyday life and is a strategy that has been in use forever. Marketing is the process used to inform the public about what product or service we have to offer.

Marketing is so much apart of our everyday lives that we do not even take into consideration the different strategies that are used to make us aware of the many competing products and services around.

When was the last time you were driving in traffic but could not ignore the car that is totally covered with advertisement?

I bet you were too happy this morning when you received that pen from your teller to notice that you are now advertising the bank's new investment plan. And I guess before long you will also find a reason to enquire about the offer.

Marketers know that for some odd reason, the more we keep something in the forefront of our mind the more we will inquire and the more we will create a need to have it.

Marketers know that not only will constant reinforcement create the need for the consumer, but once that person enjoys the satisfaction of that product or service, he will associate the feeling derived from using it to the brand. This is why when someone is hungry and feels for chicken they will go back to KFC. Why, not because they want to satisfy their hunger, but because they want to relive that satisfaction they enjoyed.

How many times have we heard people calling for a product not by the name but by the brand? Marketers know how repetition works. This is why people will use a Xerox Machine instead of a Photocopier! Because brand Xerox is seen so many times doing the work of the Photocopier that the Photocopier now becomes Xerox.

Allowing the public to become aware of your product or service is the first step to a long term relationship building process of the online marketer. This is the main reason why people who succeed in network marketing are constantly marketing their online businesses.

The second step is the selling process. This is where the public will make the decision whether they will commit to your offer. Selling is what helps the consumer to decide if the product being marketed is right for them; if the pain they are feeling is strong enough to get rid of or the pleasure is great enough for them to invest.

Thirdly we need to maintain and build the trust of our Clients. Our selling process is our reason for starting the relationship building process, confirming to the clients that what we are marketing is worth pursuing is of paramount importance. Our clients need to know and feel comfortable about what we are sharing over and over again until they also believe for themselves.

As we look at the way we market our products and create new relationships we have to understand that, we also have to understand the significant of having all three factors working together to succeed as entrepreneurs
